His.Excellency Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. He was born in October 26 1961 in the Kenyan capital City Nairobi to his parents, The late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta,Kenyan first President and Ngina Kenyatta or should I say,Mama Ngina as Kenyans refer to her.Lucky enough His.Excellency Kenyatta was born, raised, and brought up at the Kenyan Statehouse. He was born and raised alongside his siblings and enjoyed the high profile life.
As every other Kenya kid His.Excellency Kenyatta attended kindergarten schooling and his lower primary schooling at the Loreto Convent ValleyRoad. After his lower primary completion he proceeded to St.Mary’s School Nairobi in class 3 and later completed primary school and as expected performed well enough, which saw him secure a vacancy to join Alliance Boys High School for his secondary school education.Mr.Kenyatta later on joined Amherst College in Boston Massachusetts and graduated with a degree in political science and economics
His love for Rugby dates back to his school days he played as a winger at the St.Mary’s School.
Hi.Excellency Kenyatta married his high school sweetheart Margaret Wanjiru Gakuo Kenyatta In 1991.The reunion later on saw the emergence of a nuclear family made up of three children two gentlemen and one lady namely;Jomo Kenyatta,Ngina Kenyatta and Jaba Kenyatta and like their father the siblings are lucky to enjoy a high profile life. His Excellency is now a grand father of one.
Life before politics
Am graduating from Amherst College he returned to Kenya and worked at Kenya Commercial Bank, Kipande Branch. He later quit and started his own company;Wilham Kenya Limited through which he sourced and exported agricultural produce.
Life into politics
His.Excellency Kenyatta entry into politics or should I say leadership dates back to his childhool. He was always by his dad’s side wherever he travelled for political or leadership meetings and hence he was exposed to leadership and politics as young as he was.His entry into politics began when he ran for a parliamentary seat in 1997 in Gatundu North but he lost the battle. This marked his big enrty into politics and as they say the rest is history.
Mr.Kenyatta is a role model
His.Excellency Kenyatta is one of the few humble leaders we know of;he gets into “kibandas” takes tea and chapati.Just the other day he was caught in traffic driving himself.
