KENYAN DEPUTY PRESIDENT WILLIAM SAMOEI RUTO’S LIFE STORY

His excellency Dr. William Kipchirchir Samoei Ruto was born in the year 1966 on the 21st of December in a humble village of Sambut,Uasin Gishu county to the late Daniel Cheruiyot and Sarah Cheruiyot .

He was among six siblings in the family although one of them passed on due to kidney failure.

SCHOOLING.

Hon. William samoei Ruto was however enrolled in kindergarten at Kerotet primary school for his primary level education and to Wareng secondary school for his ordinary levels commonly referred to as “O” levels before proceeding to kapsabet Boys high school in Nandi county for his advanced levels popularly referred to as the “A” levels.

He later went on to receive a Bsc in Botany and zoology from the university of Nairobi and graduated in the year 1990.

Deputy president later enrolled for MSC in plant Ecology graduating in 2011.

In 2012 the following year he enrolled for a PHD and after six years of great toil in his education life he eventually completed and awarded a PHD

POLITICS.

Dr. William Ruto who was and is a determined gentleman born and lived in poverty at his early age even sold peanuts on the eldoret highway in order to support the family.

He got involved with the Youth for Kenyan African national union ’92 popularly known as YK’92.

He however began to help campaign for the second president ,Daniel Arap Moi’s multiparty election.

In the then 1992 polls KANU emerged a winner and fortunately Mr Ruto appointed the assistant minister for the provincial administration and later the minister of affairs.

In the year 2002,Hon William Ruto therefore supported president Moi’s decision to back up the current president of the republic of Kenya,His excellency Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta bid as the flagbearer.

Unfortunately KANU lost to the opposition led by former president of the republic of Kenya,Mwai Kibaki.

In the run up to the 2005 Hon. William Ruto joined the Orange democratic Movement(ODM).He however sought ODM’s nomination for 2007 presidential election but was beaten by Raila Odinga.

MARRIAGE

Hon.William Ruto married Rachel cheber in 1991 and have six children.
