It was sad news after Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga has disclosed what has happened to him.
Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga has via his Facebook penned informing that his Christmas Celebrations ended in a sad mood after losing one of the county’s firefighters in a riad accident.
Mutahi has said that two other firefighters were slightly injured promising that his government will support the family of those affected.
“A sad ending to Christmas yesterday when one of our fire engines was involved in an accident and we sadly lost one of our gallant firefighters and two others slightly injured. The driver lost control as they rushed to answer a fire distress call in Muringato area. I wish to register my sincere condolences to the family of John Ichura who was informed last night,” Mutahi Kahiga has said.
“The County Government will support the family in the very best way we can,” the Governor has added.
